Successes - Killington/Pico Resort
Holding the post of communications manager at Killington Resort, Kim Jackson:
• Pitched, secured and managed the shoot of Nickelodeon’s UPick Live, live at Killington, December 2003.
Segments shot were used on Nickelodeon during the Christmas holiday week.
• Pitched, planned and implemented the Eastern Ski Writers’ 40th Anniversary FAM trip, which included 200+ writers, editors and guests. As a result, Killington garnered continued story placement throughout Northeast publications during the 2003/2004 season.
• Pitched, secured and managed the shoot of the Fine Living Network’s Back to Basics show, focusing on learn to ski and snowboard.
• Pitched, secured and managed the shoot of the Food Network’s Christmas Special with Tyler Florence.
Segments were shot (and Tyler cooked) on the base lodge deck at Bear Mountain, while it was snowing.
• Met one on one with key editors in New York City, pitching new resort stories and ideas.
• Increased golf media coverage in one year from nearly zero coverage to more than 50 story placements and mentions.
• Won the Vermont Travel and Tourism Industry Marketing of Excellence Award for Killington’s press kit and calendar, 2002.
